We are excited to offer you Teacher’s Planning Partner, a tool to help you organize the Common Core State Standards, or CCSS.
Our unique approach to lesson planning allows the teacher to be in charge, taking the rigorous CCSS Standards and making them user-friendly. We will help you organize your ideas – you plug in the creativity – you are in the driver’s seat. We know this planning series will prove to be a useful guide to help you provide a powerful learning experience for your students.
Our unique lesson plan books, Learning Targets, help teachers plan units that will comply with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS).
We have sample materials for download here:
Our Learning Targets lesson planning book is designed as a template to help you organize your ideas and plan your units for the school year. It also provides planning space to organize resources, procedures, and assessments.
We offer checklist posters for grades 3-8. These posters provide students a visual of their learning goals.
Black line checklists of the CCSS for English language arts and math.
We have grouped the CCSS into four units of study by content for your convenience. Clear learning targets have been added with a convenient quarterly checklist to ensure your students are meeting internationally bench marked learning goals.
The Teacher’s Planning Partner does not:
- Issue a directive on how to teach, demanding that you follow a particular teaching style
- Override your district’s or school’s curriculum
The Teacher’s Planning Partner does:
- Help you to organize your lesson planning, integrating the elements of the CCSS into the teaching of English language arts and math
- Allow you to customize your lessons to suit your style and needs
- Unify lessons

Letuchy, Sargy. The Visual Edge: Graphic Organizers for Standards-Based Learning. Print.
This resource contains comprehensive graphic organizers that are great visual tools for teaching the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Sometimes the descriptions of the CCSS can be difficult to understand. Letuchy’s descriptions that accompany each graphic organizer are very helpful. Personally, I have found these graphic organizers to be useful formative assessment tools.
